Need of the Project
Anvi noticed students and helpers at her school were carelessly disposing of waste without regard for recycling or proper segregation. This practice posed an environmental concern, leading her to recognize the need for a more sustainable waste management system that could mitigate harmful environmental impacts.
How it was Executed
Anvi began her mission by raising awareness through interactive sessions and creative posters, educating students and staff about the importance of waste segregation and recycling. She then worked with school administrators and teachers to implement color-coded trash cans across the campus, making it easy for students and staff to separate waste correctly. In addition, Anvi engaged in conversations with the safai karamchaaris, educating them on proper garbage disposal practices to ensure that the system was followed efficiently.

What was the Impact Area?
Anvi’s efforts have led to a significant transformation in the school’s waste management practices. The system of color-coded bins made waste segregation more practical and effective, and the entire school community—students, teachers, and staff—became more environmentally conscious. Anvi’s initiative has instilled a sense of responsibility towards the environment, creating a cleaner and greener campus.
