How it was Executed
The campaign involved daily collection of aluminum foil from every class. Dhruv educated students on the proper disposal of aluminum foil and encouraged them to use alternatives like tiffin dusters and muslin cloth. As an incentive, students received black and red stars for changing their habits. Additionally, collected foil was transformed into artwork by art teachers, showcasing creativity and raising awareness.
What was the Impact Area?
Through relentless efforts, Dhruv achieved a remarkable 90% reduction in aluminum foil usage in his school. His initiative not only fostered environmental consciousness among students but also contributed to his acceptance at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, highlighting the impact of student-led change.
