Need of the Project
Menstruation remains a taboo subject, and many students—both girls and boys—lack basic understanding about it. Taranpreet noticed this gap in knowledge within her school, which left young girls feeling isolated and boys unaware of what their classmates were experiencing. This issue prompted her to take action and educate her peers.
How it was Executed
Taranpreet organized a series of informative awareness sessions within her school. These sessions covered the biological basics of menstruation, tips for managing it confidently, and addressed the emotional and social challenges that girls often face. She ensured inclusivity by inviting boys to join, helping them understand the process and become supportive allies.
What was the Impact Area?
Taranpreet’s efforts have successfully created a more open and supportive school environment. Girls now feel empowered to handle menstruation without embarrassment, and boys have become more informed and respectful. Her initiative has laid the foundation for a more inclusive and compassionate culture at Solitaire International School.
